Irrational Flames means "irrational flames" in French.

This name can evoke the atmosphere of a place, the character of the objects that comprise it, or the passion of those who create them. In this sense, Irrational Flames designs soulful objects, in reaction to those that leave us speechless for the wrong reasons.

A soulful object is the art of making matter speak, without making it verbose. By creating surfaces that connect us to ourselves, to others, to our sensory space and its share of mystery, the designer reminds us that matter inspires us as much as it serves us.

Beyond the notion of function, Irrational Flames designs products that make you want to discover them, use them, share them... To do this, they are primarily rooted in the lived experiences of the body and mind, before invoking abstract concepts.

My definition of design leaves room for the unforeseen, the unexpected, and the asperities that form the backdrop of our fondest memories. Because while no one wants to add chaos to their daily life, everyone has the right to claim a touch of soul.
