VISION.

Irrational Flames are biomorphic luminous sculptures, permeated with reminiscences of the plant world and the human body.

Each one is born from a romantic gaze, in the philosophical sense, cast upon a botanical subject to extract its poetic essence. Through a process combining writing, drawing, and digital modeling, this material organizes itself into forms with an ethereal aesthetic, designed to offer a medium for light and imagination.

As if emerging from a hallucinatory paradise, teeming with sinuous shapes with silky textures, enveloping atmospheres, and lights with shifting reflections, Irrational Flames awaken the sensations that form the backdrop of our most beautiful memories, even our greatest fantasies.

Conceived to push back the gloom and dullness of our interiors, they combine the artistic intention of a work with the practical value of a product, to transform the most ordinary gestures into opportunities to escape the boredom that can also prevent us from seeing life in a clearer light.

MANUFACTURING.

All my creations are made in France, in La Rochelle, using FDM 3D printing and exclusively from bio-sourced materials.

This choice first responds to a search for autonomy in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of my products. 3D printing also supports an exploratory work process, based on experimentation and continuous adjustment. Finally, thanks to semi-manufactured production, it allows me to mass-produce creations that are more accessible than entirely artisanal production would allow.

My use of 3D printing is primarily characterized by design choices that achieve a high level of finish: printing finesse, mastery of assemblies, post-printing finishing work... This requirement allows the object to transcend the simple status of a prototype and break free from the playful aesthetic codes often associated with this technology. I also leverage the formal freedom offered by 3D printing, putting it at the service of a purpose and use values significant enough that the expressiveness of my creations is not reduced to a decorative effect.

BACKGROUND.

Trained in architecture at ENSA Versailles, I obtained my State Diploma in Architecture in 2021.

For two years, I worked at the multidisciplinary architecture firm Projectiles. Eager to reconnect with the figure of the inventor, with whom I identify and from whom the traditional practice of my profession tends to distance me, I simultaneously developed an independent designer activity, which led to the creation of the Irrational Flames project in 2023. Through this, I design objects, and more specifically luminaires, stemming from a practice combining digital tools and artisanal know-how, which notably explores the question of memory.

After reducing the scale of my drawing, I continue to expand my intellectual space by imagining, in 2024, a fictional universe called The Invisible Continent. The ambition of this project is to allow us to reveal, through architectural form, the invisible foundations that constitute us. At the crossroads of poetry, philosophy, and psychology, it is currently presented in the form of an initiatory novel and a board game.
