How can I unsubscribe from the Irrational Flames newsletter?
All newsletters contain an “unsubscribe” link. Click this link and follow the instructions to no longer receive it.
How can I contact our stores?
There may be an Irrational Flames store opening one day. Partnerships for consignment sales in prestigious Parisian stores are also in preparation, so be patient.
Online order
How do I know if you have received my order?
After placing an order, you will receive a confirmation email to your registered email address. If you do not receive confirmation after placing your order, check your spam folder or contact me at contact@lalchimistedesign.com .
Can I modify my order?
If you change your mind, please contact me as soon as possible at contact@lalchimistedesign.com , and I will try to help you. Please remember to reference your order number when contacting me.
It is not possible to modify an order once it has been shipped.
How can I cancel my order?
If you change your mind about an order, please contact me as soon as possible at contact@lalchimistedesign.com . The order cannot be canceled if it has been shipped. If you requested a cancellation after the order has been shipped, you will need to return it for an exchange or refund.
I have registered an incorrect delivery address. How can I modify it?
Please contact me at contact@lalchimistedesign.com and provide me with the order number and correct address. As long as the order has not been shipped, I can change the address for you.
Can I add items to my order?
If your order has already been placed, please contact me at contact@lalchimistedesign.com , to check if it is possible to add items.
Payment
What are the payment options available ?
You can pay with the following credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
You can also use expedited payment methods like Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Is it safe to use my credit card online?
The Alchemist does not store any credit card or other financial information. All payments are processed by Square or Alma, depending on the payment method chosen. Square and Klarna are PCI certified payment processing platforms.

When will I be billed?
Within 2 or 3 business days after placing your order. You will receive a confirmation email with full shipping details and tracking information once I have manufactured and packaged your lamp.
Why was my credit/debit card declined at checkout?
For any questions regarding payment issues, please contact your local bank or card issuer.
Returns and exchanges
How do I return or exchange an item?
You can return any purchase within 15 days, for any reason. Returned items must not have been used and must be returned in resalable condition, with the original packaging intact. The returned item can be exchanged for a new item or refunded.
Exchanges Return costs and shipping costs for replacement items are your responsibility.
Refund :
If you do not want an exchange, you can return any item for a refund. Return costs are your responsibility.
Exchange and return procedure
- Please email me at contact@lalchimistedesign.com with your name, order number and a brief description of the reason for the return (this will help me improve my service). If you ordered multiple items, let me know which item you would like to return.
- Let me know if you would like an exchange (product/color/size) or a refund.
- I will provide you with return instructions. It is very important to follow these instructions in order to obtain a full refund.
How long does it take to return an item or exchange?
Once you send the item back to me, it usually takes 5-7 business days for it to be delivered to me, depending on customs. I will process the return as quickly as possible after it arrives. During busy periods, returns may take longer to process.
If you have not received a return confirmation within 14 days of sending the item, please contact me at contact@lalchimistedesign.com .
I received a defective item, what should I do?
If you receive a damaged item, please contact me at contact@lalchimistedesign.com as soon as possible. Return the item to its packaging to avoid further damage. Please always include your order number in your communication with me, along with photos of the damage and a description of the claim.
If the product is found to be defective, I will provide you with a replacement item or issue a full refund as you wish, including shipping costs, upon receipt of the complaint return.
I received an item as a gift. Can I return it?
If the gift was purchased online, you can return it within 14 days from the delivery date. However, I need the name of the person who purchased the gift and the order number. The item must be in its original and complete condition.
Are there return costs?
Whether it is an exchange or a refund, the return costs are your responsibility.
When will I receive my refund?
The refund will be made after receipt of the returned item and after checking that it shows no signs of wear.
It takes 5-7 business days for your return to be received and processed in my workshop and up to a further 5 days for the money to arrive in your account, depending on the payment method chosen.
Once the return has been processed, you will receive a return confirmation email. The refund is made using the same payment method used during the purchase.
Use/maintenance
Which bulb should I choose?
All Irrational Flames lamps have an E27 socket. You can screw any standard LED bulb into it. Use only an LED bulb. Halogen bulbs are not suitable.
Is a bulb supplied with my lamp?
A 40W E27 LED bulb is supplied with each SILO and CENO lamp. A 60W E27 LED bulb is provided
with every GAO floor lamp. These are bulbs that emit warm white light.
How do I clean my lamp?
Use only a dry cloth to clean your lamp. Do not use any household products.
